Upwardly Mobile Bogan Yobbos. I don't normally like to associate deadshits with the Bogan River in western NSW. The Bogan starts south east of Nyngan and ends up in the Darling about half way between Bourke and Bre. But these bogans are the ones that Howard has flattered and called ASPIRATIONAL Voters known also as Howard's Battlers. They are the sort of Kath and Kel in the ABC show Kath and Kim. They are mortgaged so far that the World Bank has stepped in to direct a repayment plan. They live in a five bedroom house of which they can use about 3.2 of them, they have twice as many TVs as the number of occupants, they have every new plastic appliance. Their idea of the good life is the Friday night meat tray raffle down the club. They go jet skiing and shooting up the wildlife. They throw tinnies onto the ground at the footy and cricket. Deadshits they are through and through and to prove it they vote for the PM every time because he doesn't call them deadshits. Hear that Kel? The PM says we are ASPIRATIONAL. How I love the sound of that word. An ASPIRATIONAL by any other name is still a deadshit.
